Official Rules & Skill Basis

Last updated: June 16, 2026

DRAFT — pending counsel review. These Official Rules are a working draft. No paid contest is offered until qualified gaming/crypto counsel has reviewed and approved jurisdictions, entry terms, prize structure, and verification thresholds (roadmap item 5a.8), and the operator has explicitly enabled paid play. Until then, all contests are free to enter.

1. Sponsor & Scope

These Official Rules govern skill-based contests offered on scribbz.fun and app.scribbz.fun ("the Service"), including the drawing-and-guessing game and Scribbz Arena. They supplement the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; if there is a conflict regarding a specific contest, these Rules control for that contest.

2. Skill-Based Determination (Not Chance)

Outcomes are determined by player skill, not chance:

  • Drawing game: placement is decided by the accuracy and speed of guessing the drawn word relative to other players.
  • Scribbz Arena: survival is decided by answering trivia questions correctly within the time window. A minimum human-response floor is enforced and questions are drawn from a non-repeating bank to reward genuine knowledge, not guessing.

No element of pure chance determines prize outcomes. The Service is not a lottery or a game of chance.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least the minimum age for your jurisdiction (no younger than 18; higher where required) and meet it at the time of entry.
  • Contests are void where prohibited. Residents of jurisdictions where skill-based prize contests for value are restricted are not eligible to enter paid contests. The Service applies geographic checks at paid entry; you may not use a VPN, proxy, or misrepresentation to circumvent them.
  • Employees of the operator and their immediate households are not eligible for paid prizes.

4. How to Enter — Paid & Free (AMOE)

The current public offering is a free, self-funded contest: no purchase or deposit is necessary to enter or win.

If and when paid-entry tiers launch, a no-purchase-necessary alternate method of entry (AMOE) will be offered, giving free entrants the same prize eligibility as paid entrants for that contest. The AMOE procedure, entry window, and limits will be published with that contest's rules.

5. Entry Fees, Rake & Prize Split (paid tiers)

For paid contests, each contest page will state the exact entry fee, the platform fee ("rake"), and the prize split before you enter. As an illustration of the live wager format: the winner receives 88% of the pot and the platform retains 12%. Final figures for any specific contest are those shown on that contest's entry screen and are subject to counsel-approved terms.

6. Payouts, Identity Verification & Sanctions

  • Prizes are paid in SOL to the winner's connected wallet. On-chain transactions are final and irreversible.
  • Payouts at or above a configurable threshold require identity verification (KYC) before release. Pending verification, winnings are held safely — they are not forfeited.
  • All payout wallets are screened against sanctions lists. Prizes will not be paid to sanctioned or prohibited wallets.
  • Winners are responsible for any taxes on winnings. The operator may be required to collect information and report winnings above applicable thresholds.

7. Responsible Play

You may set per-day entry and deposit limits, take a cool-off period, or self-exclude. Self-exclusion is enforced until it expires. Support and responsible-play resources are linked in the footer.

8. Fair Play

Bots, scripts, automation, collusion, multi-accounting, and exploitation of the Service are prohibited and may result in disqualification, forfeiture of pending winnings, and reporting where required by law.
